What is a Holistic Nutritionist? (and what to expect)

A holistic nutritionist looks at an individual as a whole: the physical, mental, emotional, environmental, and spiritual self are all taken into consideration, as well as how different factors interrelate to an individuals dis-ease. The unpleasant symptoms you may be experiencing are your body’s way of letting you know that systems are out of balance. For example:

  • The stress and anxiety you may be feeling can be tied to your irritable bowel.
  • The bread and pasta you occasionally enjoy is contributing to your terrible migraine headaches.
  • The late nights and constant sleep deprivation is causing sugar cravings and weight gain.

My role as a holistic nutritionist is to investigate your current symptoms and look for a root cause by taking note of your diet and lifestyle habits. This, along with a full medical history, helps me to connect the dots so I can create an individualized protocol to help bring balance back to your life.

Diet and Lifestyle Protocols

When you receive your personalized diet and lifestyle protocol, you will also find some supplement recommendations. Supplements are usually recommended to help facilitate healing as well as addressing deficiencies you may be experiencing. These may include vitamins, minerals, probiotics, enzymes, amino acids, essential fatty acids and herbs. Results are completely individual. Some issues you may find remedy fairly quickly, while others take time. Everyone is different and patience is needed during this process. Your honesty of your progress during this process is greatly appreciated so we can make necessary adjustments to your protocol to help get you on track. I will always work hard to make sure we’re addressing your concerns and getting you on the right path to optimal health.

For dietary recommendations, I may recommend eliminating certain foods for a period of time. I will always explain the reasons why so that you understand their importance. Removing certain foods can help address intolerances and triggers for some of your symptoms as well as giving the digestive system a period of rest so we can facilitate healing.

You deserve to feel AMAZING and I want to help you get there!
